All KTMC students are eligible to borrow our school library materials that are for loan. |

| Rules for borrowing library materials |
1. |
All students are eligible to borrow five items at one time. |
2. |
Most library books have to be returned within two weeks. Some reference or display materials are specified with different loan periods: students borrowing these materials are requested to return them on / before the due-date. |
3. |
The loan period for a borrowed book may be extended once if there is no reservation made by another library user. |
4. |
Overdue fine: |
F.1 - F.7 --- $1 per day |

5. |
Borrowers have to pay for lost books and torn books (the price of the books plus 20% handling charge and overdue fine.) |
6. |
Borrowers should check the book(s) to the library staff before issuing out the book(s) |
7. |
Library users may make reservation of a book by filling in a reservation form and returning the form to the library counter. |
8. |
All library materials have to be issued out five minutes before the library closing time. |

| Rules for self-study students |
1. |
Students should keep silent when making their way to and from the library. |
2. |
Students have to sign in at the entrance of the library there is no signing - in for others. |
3. |
Students have to keep silent in library. Meeting, discussions, distributing handouts and other disturbing activities are all forbidden during the self-study periods. |
4. |
Students have to seek approval from the library staff if they have to excuse from the library. |
5. |
There is no photocopying, borrowing and returning book service during the staff-study periods. |

| General Rules |

Students have to be in their school uniform when using the library. |
2. |
Students have to leave their schoolbags, briefcases etc. at the library entrance. |
3. |
Students must not perform any inappropriate activities such as talking, eating, drinking, sleeping, playing chess, and listening to discman in library. Students must not disturb the silence in library. |
4. |
Students have to return the used library materials to the original place. |
5. |
Students should keep the library clean and tidy. |
6. |
Students should keep the library clean and tidy, handle the facilities with care and use the library materials gently. |
7. |
There will be penalties on students who break any of library rules. |
8. |
The school has absolute rights to explain, affix and obliterate the library rules. |
