蕭校友中五會考成績優異，完成中六後以暫取生資格入讀香港中文大學地理系，其後再取得香港中文大學新聞及傳播學院碩士，專修企業傳訊。蕭校友曾任職本地著名電腦雜誌《電腦廣場》採訪主任，對互聯網商業科技發展的趨勢及應用長期關注，先後創辦《Linuxpilot》、《商智謀略》雜誌，以及成立《香港中小企智匯網》、《香港中小企營商網》，致力推動香港中小企利用新一代網絡及資訊科技營商，蕭校友現為香港中小企商會聯席會議聯席主席。本著母校 “十年樹木，百年樹人” 的精神，蕭校友近年開始積極參與教育事業，包括協助本地學生修讀海外大學的課程，以及引進各類企業培訓課程，為企業培養人才。

Alex Chan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong, then a Post-graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management from the University of Staffordshire, an MBA degree from the University of Leicester and a PhD in Business Administration from the Bulacan State University. He is currently a project manager of an ECM software firm in Hong Kong. He is also a part-time Lecturer in Hong Kong Management Association.

Alex Chan has decades of management experience in telecommunications and software integration in the Asia Pacific Region, including China. He was also a part-time Lecturer of HKU SPACE, conducting a series of courses on “Four Dimensional Thinking”. He has published six books with diverse topics, ranging from China business and thinking paradigm.
