Anniversary Mass
55th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass
On May 8, 2026, our school solemnly held the "55th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass" at St. Teresa's Church. The Mass was presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Chow, S.J., Bishop of Hong Kong, and concelebrated by Rev. Simon Li Chi Yuen, P.P., Rev. Mario E. Gutiérrez Carrejo, MG. (former Manager of School IMC and former School Supervisor respectively), Rev. Terrance Mascarenhas, SVD, P.P. (current Manager of School IMC), and Rev. Joseph Fung Che Ho, Asst, P.P. (current School Supervisor).
The Thanksgiving Mass was attended by over 700 participants, including the Episcopal Delegate for Catholic Education, the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, principals from Catholic school-sponsoring bodies, our school’s retired principals, teachers, and staff, as well as students and current staff. All gathered with devout hearts, actively engaged in the liturgy and offering sincere prayers to give thanks to the Lord.
In his homily, Cardinal Chow encouraged the school community to remain grounded in the spirit of the Gospel and to become partners in God’s great love. He urged the school to nurture and guide the younger generation ¾ who are currently facing various external challenges and influences, including artificial intelligence ¾ with love, life, and hope.
Upon the conclusion of the Thanksgiving Mass, Cardinal Chow, the concelebrating priests, student altar servers, and distinguished guests, along with the principal and teachers, posed for a group photo in front of the altar. Afterwards, all proceeded to a function room near the church for a simple yet solemn cake-cutting ceremony, which brought the day’s anniversary celebrations to a perfect close. Thanks be to God.
