Alumni Fund ( 長青基金 )
History:
The Alumni Fund was established in 2008. Before establishing the fund, many alumni wished to contribute to their alma mater by sponsoring students’studies and supporting their development in various areas. To better manage all these donations, it was suggested that all the donations from alumni should be put under one account and the “Alumni Fund” was then established.
Objectives:
1. To sponsor all scholarships*.
2. To subsidize students with financial problems to take part in extra-curricular activities.
3. To finance school programmes which enrich students’ experience, locally or abroad, such as leadership training courses, cross-boundary learning activities, etc.
Eligibility:
Students studying at Kwun Tong Maryknoll College
Application Procedures:
1. Application forms are available at the G. O.
2. A recommendation letter is required from the teacher-in-charge.
3. Approval will be given after consideration by the Fund Allocation Committee which consists of the Vice-Principal in-charge and the teacher(s)-in-charge.
4. The amount to be subsidized will be endorsed by the Principal.
Principles of Approval:
1. The amount of funds allocated will vary with reference to the applicant’s family’s financial situation.
2. Successful applicants should be responsible for at least 10% of the fee required unless exemption is granted by the Principal.
Management:
1. The Fund will be managed by the school under the supervision of the Vice-Principal in-charge.
2. A financial report will be issued by the school to the Alumni Association every year.

9. Subject Award for English Language (F.1 – F.6)
