A Meeting with AI in Education Lab (HKU)

A meeting co-hosted by our school and the AI in Education Lab at HKU was organized by our Science Panel to encourage a meaningful and practical exchange on the use of AI in teaching on 16 April 2026.
Building on the AI in Science Education Program supported by HKEDB and HKU, the session provided an excellent opportunity for teachers to share their experiences and outcomes in using AI tools for pre-lesson preparation, enhancing learning and teaching efficiency, and promoting students’ self-directed learning.
Teachers from different Key Learning Areas (KLAs) also came together to present their findings, practical experience, and the challenges they encountered when integrating AI into everyday classroom teaching.
Professor Cecilia K. Y. Chan further enriched the discussion with actionable tips and an inspiring vision for how AI can support education in the years ahead, in alignment with the Digital Education Blueprint for Primary and Secondary Schools (Blueprint).
